Hi there! My name is Julie - I am a California-based, native Norwegian artist.

I paint and draw with mixed media, and my specialty is Scandinavian art and design.

My story: In 2020 I made a big move from Norway to California. I was on a little California-visit when I met and fell in love with my now husband. After just 5 weeks of meeting him, we got hitched. Now we have a toddler and we working together creatively. 

Pretty soon after leaving my home, I was entering a new role as a mom in a new and “unknown” environment, I felt a deep longing for familiar, Norwegian surroundings. I started creating art that reminded me of home. 

It became a way to honor our Scandinavian connection and the Scandinavian lifestyle and culture. I try to discreetly capture everyday moments in a Day in the Life In Norway.
